breast reduction with inverted-T scar

After a breast reduction with an L-shaped scar, the skin on the lower pole of the breast kept on stretching, producing further sagging of the breast mound below the level of the nipples. After a secondary procedure, only to remove extra skin, the problem recurred. Eventually, a third operation was necessary to further reduce the size of the breasts, leaving a classic inverted-T-shaped scar.

Compare the images: the left column shows the situation before the operation. The pictures in the middle column were taken four months after the first operations. On the right you see the end result after three operations.

Removed weight (first operation): right breast 760 g., left breast 750 g. Removed weight (third operation): right breast 318 g., left breast 325 g. Removed weight (total): right breast 1.078 g., left breast 1.075 g.

Age category: 50 - 54 years.
