Even in young persons, the skin of the eyelid may droop over the eyelashes. Excess skin is removed under local anaesthesia. The remaining skin is firmly attached in the classic position of the skin crease above the eyelid border, to create a natural fold. After three months, a light redness is still visible where the scar extends into the crow's feet. The redness disappears over time.
