neck lift and mini-facelift

This lady requested correction of the cheek fold over the border of the lower jow and of the obtuse transition between the face and the neck. A mini-lift of the face was combined with a neck lift and limited liposculpture of the fat under the chin.
In this mini-lift the skin of the cheek was only partially undermined to correct the fold over the jawline only. The neck lift was more extensive and necessitated general anaesthesia.
Compare the images: the left column shows the situation before the operation. On the right you see the end result. The first three image pairs show the general effect on the face. The next five pairs display the details of the correction.
The critical observer will notice the change of earlobe shape and the decreased delineation of the tragus, the prominence in front of the ear canal.
The wrinkles on the forehead have been treated by botulinum toxin injections; this is an office procedure that is not performed at the time of the operation.
Further improvement could be obtained by a peel of the wrinkles around the mouth, an endoscopic midface lift and correction of the lower eyelids.
