nasolabial folds: filling with Restylane®

Because of the sagging of the cheeks, folds appear between the cheeks and the upper lip, followed by a deep wrinkle. The wrinkle can be filled and the fold can be flattened (to a limited extent) by filler injections (hyaluronic acid gel). This is an office procedure. Usually, no anaesthesia is required.

This lady's has deep nasolabial grooves. One injection can only diminish wrinkle depth, it cannot make the wrinkle disappear. One cc. of Restylane Perlane® was injected in the deep dermis of the nasolabial folds, and one cc. of Restylane® was used more superficially in the same wrinkles and in a wrinkle on both cheeks more laterally.

Age category: 45 - 49 years.
